Hi! My name’s Wish, this is my first recording for the ARC Survey. I would have responded to the first, but I only just recently got contacted for all this. I only just came of age to kinda start doing stuff, so my name’s in all the systems, and I only just now saw these surveys. So this is my first one!

...So, interestingly, I don’t actually use my pouch for any of my equipment or samples. I’m a very, very clean Xero. Well, sort of. I’m not germophobic or anything, but I just feel gross if I have like motor oil, or food crumbs, or anything in my pouch. Also sharp stuff is just uncomfy. So mostly what I keep in it is just some wrapped snacks, like little blended dried fruit strips. Small things that dont get crumbly or melty or anything. Most often, I just keep this big, water pouch thing in it. I forget the exact name for it, it’s like a waterskin, only it’s made of a polymer, and it has this little tube that comes out meant for clipping onto your clothes, so you can just turn your head down, bite the end to squeeze open the valve, and get a drink. Super, super convenient when I’m working on machines and have grease all over my paws.

I will admit though, occasionally, if I’m desperate and don’t have proper equipment, I’ll hide little critters in my pouch so I can take them home and add them to the terrarium. I do make absolutely sure to know if they’re viable specimens and will handle captivity well, though! Anything that’ll be grossly disturbed, or if its absence would be heavily felt, I leave them be. But stuff like little bugs I might grab one or two. Mammals in particular.

Oh! I do have a special little bag that I’ll keep in my pouch. It keeps all my valuables like my main tech bits, my lucky rock case, money, whatever. I keep that in my pouch when I go anywhere that I feel like I need to keep a close eye on my stuff. You don’t just snatch stuff out of a Xero’s pouch, certainly not a whole bag!

Ummmm, what else do I use it for… Um, I don’t really do this anymore, but when I was still kind of a newborn, fresh out of the orb, I liked carrying around plushies, and blankets and stuff in my pouch! It let me carry way more than I could with just my arms, so it was like having my own little portable cuddle pile of plushies! I might actually start doing that again once I get somewhere stable, and I can have my own home. Being ship-bound is fun, but aside from my little glow collections I can’t make this feel like it’s home. And outside of home, I don’t really use my pouch for very much. I mean I use it a lot, there’s just not a lot of variety. It’s mostly just keeping my little water pack while I’m working, and my valuables everywhere else.

Oh! One last thing! I actually use it to keep little ice packs! Working on machines is hard work, and having ice packs in my pouch helps keep my core body temperature in check so I don’t get overheated! Yeah, I’m a desert Xero, heat shouldn’t be a problem, but it is when I have to wear protective gear!
