[Survey] Haunted Mansion

Set turned on his camera as he was walking up the driveway of the mansion. It was an old and abandoned place, looking like your typical movie haunted mansion. Set had heard some other paranormal investigators talk about it and he had to check it out himself. The front door was locked but at the side of the building a window was broken and he climbed inside ‘ah’ he scratched his tail on a piece of glass. It was just a small cut so he decided to ignore it. He switched the camera to infrared and looked around, it looked like a kitchen but it was huge, the people that lived here must have been rich. He walked around looking for a door to the main hallway, the place was rampaged by squatters and thieves. The main entrance hall actually looked pretty good in comparison to the kitchen, high ceilings, a big stairway to the second floor and when he looked up the crystal chandelier was still hanging untouched. A loud bang echoed through the room and Set quickly turned around facing the kitchen, “Hello?”... “Is there someone there?”... no response. He turned the camera to face him “You guys heard that right? Almost sounded like a pan or something hitting the ground”. He walked into the kitchen and looked around again “let me know if you see anything different here”. 

He explored the building a bit more, hearing some random noises every now and then but nothing as loud as the sound in the kitchen. The place was enormous with several bedrooms, bathrooms and an entire quarter for the servants. Some rooms were in better conditions than others but when he entered the second floor library Set almost dropped his camera. A giant pentagram painted on the floor, candles around the room, books everywhere but on the shelves and then there was this smell… “If you guys could smell this you would truly understand why this scares me so much” he walked into the room a bit more “yeah I’m pretty sure it smells like blood or something”. He turned on the flashlight and looked around the library to find more creepy things, an ouija board, a small shrine with more candles and all the way in the back where there probably used to be a painting there was something hanging on the wall. His fur stood up and shivers went all over his body… he had found the origins of the smell. “This is crazy guys, I don’t know if I can even stay here for the investigation itself” 

A bit later he turned the camera back on, “so I placed all my devices around the room, if there is any room in this house where we will find something it's here”. The silence in the library was quickly broken by the beeping of a rem pod he had placed in the opening of the door and a flashlight he had placed in the center of the table turned on. “Hello, I’m Set”... the light turned off again, “sooo are you a ghost?” no response… “are you a demon?” the light instantly turned back on and the hairs in Sets neck stood up. He crossed his fingers “are you a good demon?”... the light turned off again followed by a loud bang. “Are you okay with talking to me?” nothing happened. Set took a spirit box out of his pouch, “you might know how this works already but if you speak into this device I can hear you”. 

“So you are a demon?”

Yesss

“Were you summoned by someone here?”

Let me out

“Are you trapped in this place?”

LEAVE!!! 

A loud bang followed that last answer and Set jumped back, “Guys I’m pretty sure this creature or demon doesn’t want me to be here” 

“You want me to leave?”

Never

Set looked shocked into his camera. 

“You want me to stay in the library?”

Trapped… Forever

“I’m sorry but I can’t stay with you”

NO!!!

The door of the library slammed shut and six candles around the pentagram turned on. “Uhhh this isn’t good” you could see the fear in Sets eyes when he looked into the camera lens. Set started to panic, thinking to himself that he needed to find a way out, to try and convince the demon to let him leave.

“What’s your name?”

No answer…

“Are you lonely?”

Still nothing…

“What do you want?”

He could hear footsteps around the room getting closer to him and then, when the steps were right next to him… silence. 

Sacrifice

Set took a deep breath, looked at his camera and started talking again. 

“I can help you with that”

You sacrifice

“Yes I can get you more sacrifices… if you let me leave”

Leave… NO!!!

“Think about it, if you take me you only have one” he felt so sick saying that “but if you let me go, I can bring you many more”

It stayed quiet for a very long time, he heard footsteps going back and forth in the room almost like the demon was thinking. Meanwhile Set got more and more scared, afraid he would never be able to leave. “We both know that I’m right,” Set said, hoping it would speed up the demon's decision. The door swung open ‘Bring me SACRIFICE!’. Set started running out of the room, out of the house he left everything he put in the room there he didn’t care anymore he just had to leave. He had to get as far away as possible and never come back again.
