Tis’ The Season for Rudy!

The holidays were coming around Owai-6. Xeros tended to stay inside during the winter, the harsh weather and the cold made the environment cold, yet perfect to spend time with the people they held dear. Feasts and gathering by the bonfire to tell stories were the hallmark of the season. As the morning sun peeked over the mountaintops, there was one Xero who cherished the holidays more than anybody else.

Rudy had just awoken not too long ago, and was getting ready to start the day, it never took him long to get up and raring to go during the holiday season. He made his favorite breakfast with his favorite drink - hot spiced sweetsap-  and burst out of the door with his sled in hand, ready to hike up the tallest mountain and sled as fast as he possibly could down it.

He made sure to greet and invite as many Xeros on the way as he could, this was something he didn’t want to do alone but with many new friends. After some time, Rudy had managed to convince several Xeros to come and hike and enjoy the huge slopes, as they wouldn’t last forever! Rudy started to lead the group to a hiking trail, but not before stocking up on some more sweetsap to share with everyone who would be joining him for the hike, as he knew a warm drink would keep everyone’s spirits up.

Everyone started to make their way up the mountain trail. It wasn’t a tough or steep one, but the way to the top was for sure a long one which made it perfect for hiking with a big group like Rudy’s! On and on they climbed, making sure to stop and take breaks for rest and snacks along the way; in addition, they all shared more about themselves- where they came from, what brought them there, and how they were spending their time during the holidays! The conversations weren’t deep at all, but they were enough for everyone to bond and spread cheer amongst themselves, which made Rudy beam with delight! His plan of spreading cheer to all was working as usual, just a little longer until the top!

The group of Xeros kept marching on towards the top, now singing carols, talking, and laughing with one another they kept on going. Soon everyone reached the top and Rudy pulled out the sweetsap he had taken with him,it was still warm and the perfect drink to have before sledding! Everyone excitedly drank the sweetsap and got their sleds ready at the top. Rudy soon gave everyone the signal.

“Get ready everyone!

And Go!”

And as soon as the signal was given, everyone went careening down the mountain slopes, flying through the sky! As Rudy was up there he began to glow red, his plan to create unforgettable holidays for everyone a grand success! One by one, everyone landed into a massive snow pile, and as everyone popped out of the snow they all began to cheer, grateful they could experience such a grand hike and sled! They all knew one thing was missing however, and soon one Xero threw a snowball at another as a huge snowball fight began. As evening began to roll around, Rudy knew this would be a perfect day to remember.
