[GIFT] Musical Forest

The Twilight Carnival is over and everyone is returning to their home cities and planets. The party is over and the rest and silence returned to the area. A bored Caps walked the streets looking for something to do, they talked to a few Xeros and Aliens helping some of them carry their stuff but it never really solved the boredom. The sun started setting and Caps was walking back to their home when they heard something coming from the forest, “why is there music playing at this time and in the forest?” they asked themselves while slowly going towards the sounds. It was almost completely dark between the trees and Caps couldn’t really see where they were going, they moved very slowly following the music. “The forest sure looks spooky at night” Caps said, some lights looked just like eyes and the wind rustling between the leaves made it look like someone was following them. “Well at least I still have this beautiful music to follow” they said and at exactly that moment the music just stopped, “what no! how will I ever find my way around this forest now”. Caps looked around and just decided to continue in the direction they were walking in. It took a while but then far in the distance they spotted a flickering light, not like the others but more like the flame of a campfire. They smiled and started walking faster. 

An alien was sitting at the campfire, “were you making that beautiful music?” Caps asked and the alien looked at them. “Yes that was me, is that why you are here?” the alien said as they smiled. “Yup it’s so pretty and unique, how did you do it?”, the alien pointed at an instrument next to them and then at the forest. 

“With my instrument and the help of the forest”

“How do you make music with the forest”

“I can’t show you right now but come back here in the morning and I will”

Caps smiled “you can count me in”.

Caps woke up early and quickly ran to the spot in the forest, the alien was there and the music was playing. “Ah there you are” the alien said and they turned around looking at Caps. The alien was tall with light blue skin, had 2 arms and 2 legs but multiple feline tails. “My name is Azzurra” the alien said and Caps answered with their name. “Well Caps, are you ready to learn how to make this music?” Caps looked shocked at Azzurra “learn it?”. Azzurra nodded and handed them a smaller version of her instrument, it looked a bit like a guitar but it had an extra hole in it and was a lot lighter. “For me?” Caps said confused and Azzurra answered “I made it last night, it's a gift from a fellow music lover”. She started playing the instrument and showed Caps how to do it. The music in combination with the sounds of the forest created a beautiful harmony and they kept playing for hours. At dinner time they sat around a small fire laughing and telling stories. “It was very fun to meet you Caps” Azzurra said and Caps agreed “most definitely”. “Will we play together again next year?” Azzurra said pointing at the instruments “I’ll keep practicing and it will sound even prettier next year”. Azzurra and Caps waved each other goodbye as they both left the campside. A new friend and an amazing gift, this was definitely an adventure they wouldn’t forget.
