Itsy bee at the party!

Itsy bee probably shouldn’t have been left alone at the party. She was young and clever, and all too easily bored. But when Kai wanted to catch up with old friends he thought Itsy would be fine alone in the young Xero play room for just a few minutes. It even had a foam pit! 

Itsy however, didn’t see it like that. She was left alone, in a party, with nothing to entertain her. Very quickly she snuck out while the door was open, careful not to run under feet as the party started to hit full swing. 

She spotted the snack table, and quick as a bat jumped under it. The cloth went all the way to the floor, and she could finally enjoy the party the way she wanted to. 

With a purr she crawled to the end, and reaching up a hand grabbed a fistful of chips. She brought it back down just and quickly and started to eat. 

Maybe it was the crunching, or maybe someone noticed the crumbs flying from under the table. Whichever it was, the tablecloth flew up and Itsy Bee was caught in the act. Somebody yelled for Kai, and he sprang over, embarrassment and disbelief in his eyes. 

Itsy, the mute Xero signed, what are you doing?

“I was hungry!” She chirped, putting on her cutest face.

If you were hungry, you should’ve grabbed a plate. Kai gestured to the plates on the tables, where other Xeros were snacking and loading their plate.

Itsy jumped up from under the table, intending to scamper over and grab a plate. Kai stopped her before she could run off. Itsy, you made a mess, now we have to clean it. After that you can grab a plate.

Itsy nodded, grabbing some napkins off the table she had hid under. Kai helped her, bringing a trash can over and sweeping up some of the crumbs. 

Once it was clean Kai showed her where the plates were, and watched as she poured a cup of juice. Together they walked back to the snack table and loaded their plates with food before finding the table Kai had been at with his friends.

Itsy happily sat and snacked away, ignoring the conversation around her. Eventually she noticed a line of Xeros forming, and curious started making her way over.

As she neared where the line started she saw cupcakes of every flavor on the table. She reached up, about to grab one before Kai stopped her.

You need to get in line, it’s only fair since everyone else was waiting.

Itsy nodded, letting Kai drag her to the back of the line. To Kai’s amusement, she would bounce up and down, and loudly count the number of people ahead of her. Very soon they made it to the front.

Take one for now, you can grab another after everyone else grabs one. Kai then grabbed a spice plum cupcake, and watched as Itsy took her time looking through all the cupcakes. She settled on a sweetsap blanch berry cupcake, and brought it back to the table. 

Itsy ate carefully, trying not to make a mess. When she was done she tossed the wrapper in the trash, and took her spot at the end of the line to get a new one.
