Household hazardous waste (small chemical waste) goes to local collection sites, batteries and fluor lamps either at civic amenity sites and some supermarkets have special bins for it. and medication can be given back at any pharmacy.
tires, wood and big garden wast go to civic amenity sites.
and ink cartridges can be turned in when buying new ones to re fill them or at local supermarket bins.
