X-035: Lake

While the project continues in earnest, many sequences have yet to be resolved, mostly due to a lack of compatible organisms. However, with data returned from the recent survey efforts, we have been able to synthesize several new nucleic polymers resulting in a new line of stable Xeros. Adopting many of the traits of their donor organisms, they have been classified as a new aquatic subtype and seem quite well adapted to a life beneath the sea. In particular the rudder-like tail along with the webbing of the forefoot, allow it to move through an aquatic environment with surprising speed and agility. As research on this subtype is ongoing, I'm curious to see what else develops.
